Nestled in the heart of a serene lakeside property in Lake Tahoe, California, the Lakeside Retreat project was a complete landscaping transformation aimed at blending luxury with nature. Growith was entrusted to design and execute a custom landscape plan that would enhance the natural charm of the location while offering functionality and beauty year-round.

We crafted a flowing design that emphasized organic contours, native flora, and sustainable features—turning this once-plain lakeside lot into a breathtaking escape for the homeowners and their guests.

Scope of Work:

• Designed to guide movement naturally throughout the space using local stone that blends.

• Engineered for both beauty and erosion control, using natural materials to preserve.

• Smart water-saving drip systems and strategic drainage planning.

• A functional outdoor space complete with custom seating, fire features.

• Carefully selected plant species that complement the lakeside environment.

• Low-voltage lighting positioned to enhance safety.

Challenges & Solutions:

One major challenge was preserving the natural slope of the terrain without compromising stability or aesthetics. We implemented a terraced design with integrated retaining walls made of locally sourced stone, allowing for both visual interest and erosion management. Additionally, we designed all planting around the lake’s ecosystem, ensuring zero environmental disruption.
